12 Days in Europe

We made it to London...and headed off in different directions.... Bry went to stay with family friends, the Jones, in Eden Park. This is Bryony with Lorna. They had a super visit. From her Eden Park homebase, Bry visited her cousin and other friends in London...but having had her camera stolen, there are no photos :(

Em met up with her sister for some gallavanting around London...

...and then a couple of days hiking the Jurassic Coast from Weymouth to Abbotsbury. It was a very technical trip - note the shopping bags!

Then em headed to Paris to hang out with Kati for a few days

Bry and em reunited in London to meet up with Suzannah and Garreth for drinks.

Em saw Katie who, one of her flatmates when she lived in New Zealand

And finally....Bry and em leave from the Jones' for Heathrow. Bry is pondering just how we'll make it through three transfers with all this stuff...

Back to Uganda

After flying to Windhoek from Angola where we visited Joe's Beerhouse and ate some of the animals we saw on safari (kudu and gemsbok - both tasty!), we took another 24hr bus to Johannesburg, where we spent a couple of days hanging out with Gill and her boyfriend Leon. Good food, good wine...good times!

We flew back to Kampala for a our last few days in Uganda... and yes, this is a normal amount of traffic and people for Kampala!

Our last chomo (roast goat on a stick sold through bus windows)

Truck full of matoke (plantain)

Transporting sugar cane by bicycle

Yup, the Cel Tel ad campain really is as amazing as we said it was!

Chomo vendors getting ready to sell to our arriving bus

And then we flew to London.....

The day began with a service at the outdoor church - we estimated over 2000 people were there!

People were climbing trees just to be able to see...

Dr. Foster cut the ribbon to open the new hospital

Later in the day, Samaritan's Purse, who are part supporters of the hospital in Cavango, loaded up this truck to give away some of the boxes donated through Operation Christmas Child.
